WizCrypt

Binary Install

Linux Users

Linux users can download the RPM build of WizCrypt. This is the easiest way to install WizCrypt in an Linux distribution. The RPM has been tested on Fedora 3, 4, 5, and 6, RHEL 4, RHWS 3, OpenSuSE 10 and 10.1 and Mandriva 2007. During installation the application does not check for java dependency (Because many people do not install JDK/JRE in RPM format). To install the RPM:

# rpm -ivh WizCrypt-XXX.noarch.rpm

If you do not have `rpm' command available in your system, you can download the `.bin' file. This has been tested in Ubuntu 6.10 and Freespire 1.0.13. It is necessary that you have GNU Sharutils installed in your system to execute this file. To install:

# sh WizCrypt-XX.bin

Once installed, you may launch the application thus:

$ wizcrypt

During runtime it checks if `java' is there in the PATH. To read about the options:

$ man wizcrypt

Other OS Users

The easiest way to use WizCrypt is to download the WizCrypt executable jar file. After downloading, execute thus:

$ java -jar WizCrypt-XX-jar-with-dependencies.jar --help

Source Install

Source distribution is available in many formats - zip, tar.gz and tar.bz2. You may download any format which is supported in your platform.

To compile the source distribution, you need Maven 2.0.4 or above.
